Adventure

  Some fun pictures from Brekkens Drill team, the Mestenas.  She is having a blast this year and I am so excited to see her perform more.  

They are now in 9th grade at Fort Herriman Middle School.  We switched from Providence to Fort, so Brekken could do the drill team because she takes her first 2 classes at the high school, drill and biology.  They are growing up so fast and becoming better friends.  They are learning that they will always have a permanent friend in school and that is each other.  They don't always think that, but in the end I hope they are best friends.  

This half marathon ran down little cottonwood canyon, however, it was not looking good weather wise when we started.  It was pouring rain and lightning when we got on the buses; then when we got to the top of the canyon it was snowing.  I thought my feet were going to freeze.  I didn't have much when it came to rainy weather gear, so I was hoping for the best.  However, as soon as we started it stopped snowing and raining and the run down the canyon was beautiful.  I finished first in my division with a 1:30.  It was a beautiful run and I hope to do it again next year.
