Adventure

We decided to put Akita down on May 14, 2014.  She was born in May 2002 and was 12 years old, but her poor body just wasn't working anymore and she was struggling each day to walk and eat.  We just didn't want it to get so bad that she was suffering.  She had a fun life and lots of love.  It was not easy and of course I cried, but the veterinary was great and made a paw print for each of us and our kids and made it really easy.  Josh didn't cry but when Teigyn started looking for her in the backyard when she got home from school, Josh finally broke down.   We got her when we were in Maryland and in dental school and an apartment.  Kaehler and Brekken were two years old and Josh had a lot of remorse after buying her, but she truly was the best dog we could ask for.  We even flew her alone from Maryland on an airplane back to Utah so she could stay with our family.  She will be missed a ton and we will always think...

Their 10th birthday was awesome.  It started off with a day at school, but Mom brought them McDonalds for lunch and all the other kid were jealous.  When Dad got home from work, we went to Chilis for dinner and then home for ice cream and cake and balloons.  Taeson had a airplanes theme and the girls had Lalaloopsy.  Grammie and Grandpa called to sing happy birthday and sent fun presents and Grams and Grandpa Holt sent them each $20.  They got all the gifts they wanted and had a few friends over for cake.  We now have no more single digit ages in our house.  When did my babies grow up so fast.  Happy Birthday Taeson, Teigyn and Paezlei!
