The big 8!

Image
I finally got around to getting Brekken and Kaehler's birthday pictures for turning 8. Those school ones just don't do justice and of course you have the choice of red, blue, green, or gray backgrounds. Come on, why don't they choose black, white, or brown. Who knows. Any how, they turned out really cute. I just can't believe how fast they are growing up. What great kids.

Star Wars!

This weekend we took the kids to see Star Wars of which Kaehler and Taeson couldn't take their eyes off. They loved it. Now it wasn't the best move in the world, but entertaining for them. Of course, I had to do to the bathroom breaks, drink refills, and popcorn refills, but isn't that why Mom is there.

Backyard Campout.

Our tent of which killed the grass after only one night. Taeson loves to help his Dad. My crew. Our little set up. Marshmallow roasting, YUM. Paezlel telling her scary story, which really wasn't scary. Paezlei is in there somewhere. Brekken gave in and ended up on the couch. The kids have wanted to do a campout in our tent in the backyard for a long time now, so Josh and I decided we better do it now because summer is almost officially over. Even though it was about a 0 on a scale from 1-10 sleeping we had a lot of fun. We got out our campfire pit and roasted marshmallows and of course told scary stories; however, Josh's story was really only the scary one of which made Paezlei start to cry so he had to give it a happy ending. All in all, it wasn't too cold until about 2:00 in the morning when we realized we might need a few more blankets. When I got up at 5:00 to workout, everyone was sound asleep, but as the morning went on one by one they trickled back into the h...

Comedy Night

Brian himself. I think he is excited. This looks junglish (that's not a word) Josh doing his cute smile. Josh and I had tickets to see Brian Regan last week at Thanksgiving Point. We were going to get something to eat after we dropped off the kids at Grandma's house, but Taeson and Teigyn were no where to be found so we had to search the neighbors only to find them two doors down playing at a friends house. Needless to say, we didn't have time. We did make it on time to see the show and it was really good. We left a little early to beat the crowded traffic and to rescue Grams and Grandpa of which we found them watching the Olympics and having a great time. Well on the way home, at 10:30 p.m. we stopped at Wendy's because it was the only thing around for a bite to eat. Not good for the body at that time of night, but tasted great since we were starving. We put the kids to bed and stayed up to watch a little Olympics before hitting the sack. A fun night out, of which ...

Belated Birthday!

Everyone trying to swing on one swing. Kaehler and Logan, bugging the girls . Lauren and Brekken (you gotta love those kissy lips) Teigyn taking a litte dip in the pool. Our good friends in South Jordan couldn't come to Brekken and Kaehler's birthday party, so they decided to give them one at their house yesterday. They blew up their big blow up pool and just let the kids swim all day. Of course lunch was corn dogs, chips, grapes, and cupcakes to celebrate. They even supplied them birthday gifts before we left and of course being the sweet person Denise is she got my triplets a little surprise to take home too. The kids had a total blast and I enjoyed talking and enjoying the company of a great friend. Not to mention, it wore my kids out pretty good.

DINOSAUR MUSEUM

Image
Brekken , Hailey, Parker, Kaehler , Taeson A big dinosaur foot. Look at this dinosaur fossil. Hailey and Brekken digging in the fossils. Don't eat me. A dinosaur leg ( Kaehler , Parker, Taeson , Brekken ) Almost all the kids with Grams. So as many of you know the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point is $2 a person on Tuesdays in August, so we thought it might be fun to go and bear the crowd. The night before, Brekken and Kaehler stayed over with their cousins at Grams Holt's house. They got to find stars, watch movies, and of course have some Mickey Mouse waffles for breakfast. The triplets and I met Grams and Josh's cousins at the museum. It was a lot of fun and kept everyone busy for a while. After adventuring through all the fun stuff, we went to lunch at the deli. Thanks Grams for coming to have such a fun day.

Happy Birthday Grandma Susan

Today is Josh's Mom's birthday who passed away a couple years ago, so we decided to go up to her grave yesterday to leave some flowers and balloons. Her graveside looked beautiful as always and so we brightened it up a little bit. While we were there, Josh's Dad and Coleen showed up with some roses, so we stayed to talk for a while in the rain, that is why all our hair is so ugly. I still can't believe she is gone, but we all know she is doing great work in a better place.
