Snow Canyon Half Marathon!

Image
My kids were waiting for me at mile 8. You gotta love that Josh always brings them. Made it. My brother in law, Connor, came to watch. Thanks Connor. I'm ready. At the same time. She was ok . She watched her sister first, so she was a little scared, but cryed less when it was done. I did the Snow Canyon half marathon last weekend in St. George. It was actually a hard one being that you have to run back up the canyon on a dirt trail for 3 miles before coming back. I was about 10 minutes slower on my time, of which I was really disappointed in for the rest of day. We had a fun trip though and my kids love going to visit my family. They always have a blast getting horsey rides from my Dad and wrestling with their uncles. We also got the girls ears pierced, so they could be like their sister. They were really nervous, but excited at the same time. There was a little crying in the beginning, but it only lasted a minute or two and they were fine. I can't believe the...

Halloween Day 2009!

Yes, it looked worse than that. Fred and Wilma The Flintstones. Pebbles, Dino, and Bam Bam For Halloween, I started out the morning with a Halloween half marathon up at Sundance . It was a little chilly, but a fun run. It was actually a little too cold, because my knee brace rubbed against my other leg, making it raw and I didn't even know until I was done and then the pain started to set in. I had a better time though with 1:36 for 13.1 miles. I was way happy. Later, we hung out with the kids and went to lunch and then it was time for trick or treating . I took the kids with some neighbors and Josh stayed home to hand out toothbrushes. Of course, you have to hand out toothbrushes if your dentist in the neighborhood. The kids had a blast and got a lot of candy.

Halloween at Gram's!

That's Olivia, Josh's brothers daughter. This is as good as it gets with metal. I started off the morning with a 5 mile pumpkin run in Herriman . It was really hilly and knowing I wasn't going very far I ran faster so my arms were going numb, but a lot of fun. Later, we went to Josh's Dad's house for a Halloween party with the family. Not everyone was there, but the kids loved it,. We played games, ate lunch, and hung out. The kids had a blast and everyone dressed up. I wore Kaehler's costume as Fred since he was at a football game with his Dad.
